New Zealand Cricket is now calling for entries for the MILO Cup (boys) and MILO Shield (girls) National Primary School's Competition's for 2011. The competition's will commence in the first term of 2011 and conclude with a national tournament in December. 

In 2010 a record number of 373 schools and 4476 children have taken part in the MILO Cup or MILO Shield competitions making it one of the largest primary school sporting competitions in New Zealand.

The MILO Cup and MILO Shield National Primary School’s Cricket competitions started in 2000. The competitions give primary and intermediate boys and girls the opportunity to enter into a national competition and encourage children to play cricket.

The preliminary rounds in each of the competitions are played within their major cricket associations either on a knockout or round robin basis and are completed by term one of the school year. 

The 2010 finals tournament will be held in Palmerston North on December 2nd and 3rd.
