The New Zealand Cricket Umpires' Association (NZCUA) was established in 1957.
In 2007, the NZCUA Annual General Meeting voted to change its name to the New Zealand Cricket Umpires' and Scorers' Association (NZCUSA) in order to reflect the growing integration of scorers into regional Umpires' Associations throughout New Zealand.
The NZCUSA has its own President, Chairman, and Board, with these five members responsible for individual portfolios, covering Training, Examinations, Umpiring Levels, Grading and Assessments, and Recruitment and Retention. In addition, NZC's National Umpiring Manager, Rodger McHarg (rmcharg@nzcricket.org.nz), and Cricket Technology Manager, Peter Mayell (pmayell@nzcricket.org.nz), are ex-officio members of the Board.
